Just acquired is this stunning '81 380SL finished in Champange metallic Code #473 with parchment leather interior.  It has the dual timing chain conversion.  The paint is 100% original.  I have the books, some records and the window sticker.  IT Runs and drives VERY WELL, a contender for a trophy in any Mercedes show.  I have taken many pictures to show all areas of this SL.  The body is very clean with very few flaws.  There is a small scratch on the boot lid.  Some small chips here and there but then again, original paint.  It has a brown convertible top that has a 1" tear by the window that has been professionally repaired and very hard to see.  The rear window is clear and has the factory wire.  It has the original alloy wheels with Michelin radial tires.  The interior is very nice and all original, the carpets are plush and original.  There are no cracks in the dash.  The car retains its original radio.  The air conditioning is ice cold.  The undercarriage is really clean and free of any rust any where.  This SL drives excellent as well as any SL that I have ever seen and I have seen many.  Again, the paint is EXCELLENT and original.  So-if you are looking for an investment grade SL....here it is.
